Objective of Mukhya Mantri Krishi Sa Sajuli Yojana
Promote farm mechanization by encouraging the use of scientific farm implements among farmers.
Increase agricultural productivity and profitability on limited land, helping farmers meet rising demand and improve income.
Facilitate adoption of modern technology to save labor and time, and transfer technology to the farmer’s field.
Features of Mukhya Mantri Krishi Sa Sajuli Yojana
Financial assistance of ₹5,000 per eligible farmer to procure farm tools and implements.
Targeted coverage: About 5 lakh small and marginal farmers in Assam.
Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT): Funds are transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account in a single installment.
Selection process: Beneficiaries are selected by District Level Committees headed by the Deputy Commissioner; reservation for SC (7%), ST(P) (10%), ST(H) (5%).
Supervision: Overall monitoring by a State-Level Committee chaired by the Agriculture Production Commissioner.
Application mode: Offline application at Agriculture Department offices; forms available in Assamese and English.
Scheme type: State Owned Priority Development (SOPD) scheme.
Beneficiaries of Mukhya Mantri Krishi Sa Sajuli Yojana
Eligibility: Only small and marginal farmers of Assam.
Age: Minimum 21 years old.
Residency: Must be a resident farmer of Assam.
Experience: Engaged in cultivation for at least three consecutive years.
Kisan Credit Card (KCC) holders: Eligible.
Tenant farmers/sharecroppers: Eligible if cultivating at least 1 acre.
Other requirements: Must have a live bank account; only one beneficiary per family
