Objective of Apun Ghar Loan Scheme
To provide home loans at subsidized interest rates to regular Assam government employees.
Facilitate purchase/construction of a new house/flat, purchase of an existing house/flat, or takeover of home loans from other banks.
Support government employees in owning their first home with affordable financing.
Features of Apun Ghar Loan Scheme
Interest Subvention: Assam government provides an interest subsidy of 3.5%, reducing effective interest rates to approximately 5.00% for women and 5.05% for men on loans up to ₹15 lakh.
Loan Limit: Up to ₹15 lakh for government employees under this scheme.
Subsidy Disbursement: Subsidy credited directly to salary accounts from which loan installments are recovered.
Loan Tenure: Up to 20 years with repayment flexibility, including provisions for pensioners up to 70 years of age.
No Collateral or Processing Fee: Loans under this scheme are free from collateral security and processing fees.
Eligibility for Pensioners: Employees maintaining pension accounts with SBI can continue loan repayment post-retirement up to age 70.
Beneficiaries of Apun Ghar Loan Scheme
Regular Assam State Government Employees only.
Must be purchasing or constructing their first house.
Includes employees who want to purchase new or old houses or takeover existing home loans from other banks.
Pensioners maintaining pension accounts with SBI are eligible for extended repayment terms
