Objective of Aponar Apon Ghar Home Loan Subsidy Scheme
To realize the vision of “Housing For All” by 2022.
To provide financial relief and ease access to housing loans for the purchase or construction of the first house for families in Assam.
Targeted at poor and middle-income families to enable home ownership.
Features of Aponar Apon Ghar Home Loan Subsidy Scheme
Provides subsidy on home loans up to ₹40 lakh.
Subsidy amount varies with loan size:

Subsidy is disbursed directly via DBT into the loan account of the beneficiary.
Home loans must be taken from Scheduled Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks, or Assam Cooperative Apex Banks within Assam.
Scheme is an extension of the earlier Apun Ghar Scheme (2016-17), with improved subsidy limits and wider coverage.
Loans are provided at subsidized interest rates.
Online application process available through the official portal (assamfinanceloans.in).
Beneficiaries of Aponar Apon Ghar Home Loan Subsidy Scheme
Must be permanent residents of Assam.
Must be purchasing their first house; families who have availed loans under the previous Apun Ghar Scheme are not eligible.
Housing loan must be sanctioned on or after April 1, 2019, and must be for an amount above ₹5 lakh.
Total family income from all sources should not exceed ₹20 lakh per annum.
Loan accounts must not be classified as Non-Performing Assets (NPA).
Beneficiaries include individuals/families seeking affordable housing through bank loans within Assam
