Objective of Mukhya Mantri Krishi Sa Sajuli Yojana
Promote farm mechanization by encouraging the use of scientific farm implements among farmers.
Increase agricultural productivity and profitability on limited land, helping farmers meet rising demand and improve income.
Facilitate adoption of modern technology to save labor and time, and transfer technology to the farmer’s field.
Features of Mukhya Mantri Krishi Sa Sajuli Yojana
Financial assistance of ₹5,000 per eligible farmer to procure farm tools and implements.
Targeted coverage: About 5 lakh small and marginal farmers in Assam.
Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT): Funds are transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account in a single installment.
Selection process: Beneficiaries are selected by District Level Committees headed by the Deputy Commissioner; reservation for SC (7%), ST(P) (10%), ST(H) (5%).
Supervision: Overall monitoring by a State-Level Committee chaired by the Agriculture Production Commissioner.
Application mode: Offline application at Agriculture Department offices; forms available in Assamese and English.
Scheme type: State Owned Priority Development (SOPD) scheme.
Beneficiaries of Mukhya Mantri Krishi Sa Sajuli Yojana
Eligibility: Only small and marginal farmers of Assam.
Age: Minimum 21 years old.
Residency: Must be a resident farmer of Assam.
Experience: Engaged in cultivation for at least three consecutive years.
Kisan Credit Card (KCC) holders: Eligible.
Tenant farmers/sharecroppers: Eligible if cultivating at least 1 acre.
Other requirements: Must have a live bank account; only one beneficiary per family

Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (CMSGUY) was launched on 5th February 2017 by the then Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Guwahati.
Objective of Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana
The primary objective is to double the farm income in Assam within five years, aligning with the national vision of rural prosperity.
The scheme aims to bring revolutionary changes in rural Assam through comprehensive, focused interventions in every revenue village.
It seeks to achieve rural empowerment and sustainable development by massive investments and convergence of various departmental schemes.
Features of Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana
Mega-mission mode: Implemented over five years (2016-17 to 2021-22), covering all villages in Assam.
Saturation model: Every revenue village is targeted for development through interventions in:
Direct economic activities (e.g., agriculture, fisheries, dairy)
Logistic support and market linkages
Community support (including knowledge centers, sports, and cultural facilities)
Nine critical focus areas (sub-missions) include:
Fishery, Milk, Organic, Land Management, Sericulture/Khadi/Cottage Industry, Road and Broadband Connectivity, Processing and Market Linkages, Youth-Yoga-Sports, and e-Gram Mission.
Key initiatives:
Tractor distribution: One tractor per revenue village at subsidized rates (70% subsidy, up to ₹5.5 lakh per unit).
Development of playfields, support for high-value crops, micro-irrigation, livestock procurement, cage culture in fisheries, and more.
Massive investment: ₹1,000 crore allocated for the tractor scheme alone.
Skill development and employment generation: Special focus on youth and women.
Special attention to 6th schedule areas, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and urban local bodies.
Beneficiaries of Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana
Primary beneficiaries : Farmers and farmer groups (8-10 members per group, one group per revenue village).
Eligibility:
Groups must consist of adult farmers from the same village, with a common bank account and no more than one member per family.
Other beneficiaries: Rural youth (sports and skill initiatives), women, and communities benefiting from infrastructure and community development components.
Selection of beneficiaries: Done by District Level Committees chaired by the Deputy Commissioner

The Assam Tractor Distribution Scheme under the Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (CMSGUY) was launched on 5th February 2017 by then Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Guwahati.
Objective of Assam Tractor Distribution Scheme
Revive the agricultural sector in Assam and double farmers’ income by 2022, in line with the vision of rural economic transformation.
Enable mechanization and improve productivity in every revenue village through access to tractors at subsidized rates.
Features of Assam Tractor Distribution Scheme
Coverage: Targets all 26,000 villages in Assam, implemented in a phase-wise manner.
Tractor Units: Each revenue village receives one tractor unit (35–50 HP) with standard accessories and optional implements (rotavator, disc harrow, cultivator, trailer, cage wheel, etc.).
Group Application: Only groups of 8–10 adult farmers from the same village can apply; individuals are not eligible.
Subsidy Structure:
70% subsidy on the total cost (up to ₹5.5 lakh).
20% bank loan.
10% beneficiary contribution (group must have a joint bank account).
Rental Model: The group must provide the tractor on a rental basis to other farmers in the village for at least five years, at rates fixed by the District Level Committee (DLC).
Selection: Applications are screened and selected by the DLC, chaired by the District Commissioner.
Funding: State government allocated ₹1,000 crore for implementation.
Beneficiaries of Assam Tractor Distribution Scheme
Groups of 8–10 adult farmers from the same revenue village (not individuals).
Only one member per family allowed in a group.
Group must have a joint bank account and apply collectively, with all members’ signatures and land/crop details.
Indirect beneficiaries: All farmers in the village who can rent the tractor for agricultural activities
